Well-Loved Classics
Mary is a joy for our residents to experience. She relates well and gets people "going" in both our independent and dementia communities. Her personality is engaging
and her repertoire is vast. I highly recommend working with her. — Dave Bell, Bright View Commons, Wakefield, RI Mary King, accompanied by Celtic harp, fiddle, mountain dulcimer & bodhran (Irish drum), sings the songs everyone loves to sing along with.
Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Danny Boy, Hey Good Looking, Loch Lomand and Hello Dolly! are just the beginning of a fun sing-a-long.

While performing at Westerly Health Center, Mary asked the audience to name the next song she was going to
play. What happened next completely changed her entire musical life. A resident, "John Sullivan," started singing along with one of the best voices she had ever heard. Mary continued to accompany him to such
crowd pleasers as Amazing Grace and Toora Loora Loora, and the audience loved it. Not only did they love it, but it was the most engaged audience she had ever seen. They and she were hooked. Along with her "Irish Solo Show," Mary is happy to present this new program, dedicated to all the singers
among us. As with all performances, Mary arrives one hour before the performance time to set up her sound system so music will be playing as guests arrive.
Thank you for having her share some fun and an engaging musical & storytelling time. Mary King performed 'Well Loved Classics' on June 3, 2011 and here are
some of the comments I heard from the participants...
"Delightful, I couldn't stop smiling at the sound of her voice."
"Entertaining, the hour just flew by."
"Tons of fun, I really enjoyed the instruments and being part of the show."
"Fun, great energy." — Holly Webber, Program Director, Pilgrim Senior Center
